Windswept Stables is located in West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, just outside the borough of Columbia.
We are easily accessible from US Route 30 and Pennsylvania State Routes 441, 462, 23, and 283.
From Lancaster: Route 30 West to the Prospect Road exit. Turn right onto Prospect Road and proceed to the 4-way stop sign at Ironville Pike. Cross over Ironville Pike and proceed to the Fairview Tavern. Immediately after the Fairview Tavern, turn left onto Fairview Road. Remain on Fairview Road for one mile to Fairview Park. Norwood Road enters Fairview Road on the left, directly across from Fairview Park. Turn left onto Norwood Road and proceed for 6/10th of a mile to the sign for Windswept Stables on the right. Turn right onto the farm lane and follow the lane to the top of the hill.
From York: Route 30 East to the Columbia exit at Route 441. At the stop sign, turn right onto Linden Street. Proceed 1/2 block and turn left onto 4th Street. Proceed one block and turn left onto Maple Street. At 9th Street, the street name changes from Maple to Ironville Pike. Remain on Ironville Pike to the first left hand turn (Norwood Road) after passing under Route 30. Turn left onto Norwood Road and proceed for 4/10th of a mile. The sign and farm lane for Windswept Stables is on the left. Turn left onto the farm lane and follow the lane to the top of the hill.
From PA Route 283: Exit 283 at Salunga. Coming from Lancaster, turn left onto Spooky Nook Road. Coming from Harrisburg, turn right onto Spooky Nook Road. Shortly after getting onto Spooky Nook Road southbound, the road name changes to Prospect Road. Remain on Prospect Road until you come to the Fairview Tavern. Turn right onto Fairview Road and follow the directions above.
