Summer Camp 2009

General Information:

For our weeklong day camps we will be accepting 6-8 campers per week. The cost is $250 per camper. The goal of camp is to teach the beginner horsemanship basics and continue a rider’s on-going education about horses. Education about proper horse care, that cannot be experienced in lessons alone, are a major part of the camp. Campers will be given the opportunity to further their riding skills and horsemanship knowledge, as well as to learn new skills and concepts.

What to Bring:

We ask that every camper have:

Long pants (for riding)

A sturdy shoe with slight heel (for riding)

An ASE approved riding helmet (which we can provide)

A change of clothes for the afternoon if desired (shorts and closed toed shoes)

A packed lunch

A water bottle

Scheduling and Time:

Our camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm. These may be inconvenient drop off and pick up times, but they are necessary for our barn to continue to operate normally. We must begin our evening barn chores at 3 pm so that our evening lesson schedule can be maintained. If there is a need to change a drop off or pick up time, arrangements can be made.

Sign-up:

A deposit of $50 (included in the total fee) holds a spot for a camper. Each camper must have a completed registration sheet and release statement for the first day of camp.
